Under pressure it is easy to react to difficult people and situations rather than respond. Some people avoid conflict for fear of the fallout, while others push so hard that even a win leaves relationships, collaboration and performance worse off.

This 90-minute conflict resolution training teaches a calmer, more effective approach that builds self-mastery and strengthens collaboration and engagement. You'll recognize your own reactive style, learn five conflict-handling modes and when each works best, and practice shifting to a centered, open state.

You'll then apply the seven-step aiki model to a real workplace example and practice contracting for change.

  • Identify your usual way of handling conflict and the beliefs behind it
  • Shift from a reactive response to a calmer, centered and more open state
  • Avoid taking insensitive comments or verbal attacks personally
  • Blend with an opposing view to find the truth in it and help the other person see the truth in yours
  • Resolve conflict in a win-win way and contract for change

  • What a conflict is
