Managing medical leave in California means knowing where state law goes beyond federal law. This 60-minute webinar reviews the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and explains how it differs, in important ways, from the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), with an overview of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).

California's leave laws are often more generous than federal rules. You'll compare the laws side by side, learn HR's role in managing leaves of absence in California, and get tips for compliance and for spotting potential problem areas.

  • Explain the main provisions of the FMLA
  • Describe California's CFRA, FEHA and Pregnancy Disability Leave
  • Compare the FMLA with California leave laws
  • Define HR's role in managing leaves of absence in California
